Job Description:
Job Purpose: The Logistic Assistant will be responsible for carrying out the following logistical & procurement activities, including but not limited to: Plans direct and coordinates assigned procurement/logistics process. Manage and implement assigned procurement, logistics, and supply chain management daily activities at the field level, including proper asset/inventory, fleet, transport, and management and reporting to the country logistics officer based in Kabul.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Procurement:
purchase goods or services in the best interest of beneficiaries, donors, and International Medical Corps; this includes obtaining quality goods and services in needed quantities to be delivered at the required time and place as per specifications set forth by the requestor.
Obtain the best value for money and favorable terms in the interests of International Medical Corps, donors, and, beneficiaries.
Properly and adequately document each procurement, and maintain records segregated per project.
Communicate with other departments through the procurement action until goods are delivered, or services are complete by maintaining an accurate and complete, appropriate Procurement Tracking System. Provide needed responses to questions regarding the procurement action.
Make sure the smooth running of the office and project-related sites by procuring furniture, office supplies, equipment, and any other goods/supplies required by the program in a timely manner, with adequate quality and overall cost-effectiveness.
Make sure all procurement processes are documented and filed according to IMC procurement policies and procedures
Implements, controls, and maintains an effective and comprehensive procurement record and tracking sheet.
Make sure IMC donor’s rules, and regulations are properly followed while procuring goods and services
To establish an effective channel between the suppliers, program, and finance
Ensure IMC procurement policies and procedures are followed for all procurement purposes.
To share all bulk and important procurements with the country procurement team
Logistics:
Assist asset/ inventory senior officer in overall asset/ inventory management.
Assist the site assets, inventory records and, reporting system.
Assist with the site store and warehouse activities.
Preparing the relevant monthly and periodic reports.
Other Requirements:
To maintain proper records and filing system
Ability to cope with stressful situations and work with limited resources.
Outstanding organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Excellent self-motivation skills.
Experience in effectively dealing with other IMC offices staff.
Provide weekly, accurate monthly activities report to the site’s immediate supervisor and country operations department.
All other relevant tasks assigned by the supervisor

Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards within International Medical Corps and amongst beneficiaries served by International Medical Corps.

Promotes and encourages a culture of compliance and ethics throughout the International Medical Corps. As applicable to the position, maintains a clear understanding of International Medical Corps and donor compliance and ethics standards and adheres to those standards. Conducts work with the highest level of integrity

Job Requirements:
Qualifications: University graduate with a business administration/ economics degree or related fields.
Experience: At least two years of experience in procurement, logistics, or supply chain management in the development sector.
Candidate with recent work experience with INGOs in procurement, logistics, and supply chain management experience
Competency :
Good communication Skills in English, Dari, and Pashto
Excellent interpersonal Skill
Familiar with MS Office Package/ supply chain software
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from requisitioners, or any other related sections
