Job description

Job Summary:

The Project Assistant will deal with Humanitarian activities in the Humanitarian unit of WAW. Project Assistant will facilitate the Humanitarian activities according to established WAW policies and procedures.


Her/his main areas of responsibilities center around the established responsibilities as defined in his/her job description and provide support to humanitarian project manager.


Duties & Responsibilities:

• Data collection of all beneficiaries of humanitarian assistance through telephonic calls.

• Compiling of beneficiaries data for humanitarian assistance,

• Checking and verification of data for duplication.

• Verification and confirmation of humanitarian assistance (post distribution)

• Sharing of discrepancies with Humanitarian Manager.  

• Filing of all humanitarian assistance related documents.

• Organize meetings and other events as required

• Prepare project related memos, formats and etc.

• Keep tracking project updates and project reports.

• Assist in project related procurement and logistics.

• Any other task assign by line manager.  


Job Requirement:

• Minimum of 1-3 years of work experience in with INGOs or NGOs.

• Diploma or Bachelor Degree in relevant field. 

• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team player

• Computer skill at office operation level, especially with MS Office packages

• Knowledge of English and fluency in Dari and Pashto, both written and spoken

• Good interpersonal and communication skills

• Team player with good analytical, and troubleshooting skills

• Ability to keep sensitive information confidential

• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• General experience/knowledge of office and administration
