We are looking for a compassionate social worker to help serve the communities that we have a presence in by assisting our clients that are affected by issues such as neglect, child abuse, domestic violence, mental health, and parental substance abuse. You will be in charge of assessing clients and gathering relevant information about their cases, providing crisis intervention, and contacting and making referrals to other agencies and services.
A key to succeeding in this role is the ability to stay calm and empathize with clients when they are upset. You should also be aware of others’ reactions and understand why they react as they do. She/he must strictly adhere to ASCHIANA’s Child Protection Policy.
Key Responsibilities:
To conduct surveys of the local area and attract appropriate children to the local Child Friendly Space.
To work on case managment and referrals of CFSs beneficiaires in target locations.
To liaise with the parents of the CFS children, the local community and the local authorities to inform them of the activities of the center and gain their support and involvement.
To have direct link with the beneficiaries either in the center or in the field and provide support.
To collect beneficiaries’ data and identifying of children and their families for case management and referrals to other social services.
Fill the forms of the individual case studies of the beneficiaries and prepare other reports as required.
Be able to work with parents/relatives of targeted children.
To be able to travel any area of the districts covered by the center.
Fill the different survey, assessments and evaluation forms, according to ASCHIANA assessment’s criteria.
Ensure that the beneficiaries selected to different programs are according to the program’s selection criteria.
Maintain complete individual files for each person, including detailed descriptions of services provided and evolution of the case.
Respect all guidelines and documentation within the project; keep data records for each individual and group sessions.
Ensure a daily quantitative and qualitative reporting through the tools (assessment form, follow up form, monitoring form etc.) and system in place.
Actively participate to all the project meeting, technical follow-up, internal and external trainings related to your position according to your line manager instructions.
Contribute to the organization of the weekly plan within the multidisciplinary team, with the support of the Project Officer.
Participate in the different activities that are common to all team members (identification of needs of beneficiaries, internal and/or external evaluation etc.)
Respect ASCHIANA child protection and PSEA policy and protection of beneficiaries from sexual exploitation and abuse and report to your line manager any non-respect of ASCHIANA’s policies amongst the teams or partners.
Report any incident or act that causes any harm to beneficiary or to others.
Perform other tasks relevant to this job description when requested.
Child safeguarding (CSG)
Conduct activities in accordance with the rules of the Child Safeguarding Policy, which includes reporting suspicions of child abuse,
Ensure that all activities seen through a child safeguarding lens;
Be vigilant about observing possible child abuse/harm,
Ensure all partners and beneficiaries of Save the Children are aware of the child safeguarding policy and promote the message of child safeguarding to children, beneficiary families, and community members in general,

4-5 years’ experience working the same task
Excellent Case Managment SOP is required
At least Bachelor degree in related field
Strong Communication and interpersonal skills
Good Computer Skill
Fluently knowledge in Dari/Pashto and English languages
Comfortable working in Differnet envoirnment
Respectful behavior with staff and children
