Job description

Job Description:
Tasks and Responsibilities:

Perform the allocated job of surveyor according to the given travel plan and schedule during survey period.
Successfully attend assessment training for surveyor as planned by the team in order to learn about data collection techniques and practice and the use of data collection tools
Collect data from community members (women/men & demographic mix), IDP camps, Community Based & Grassroots organizations, Public Authorities, other key stakeholders and opinion leaders (Religious leaders, traditional leaders, etc.)
Travel to the targeted villages /assigned locations for surveying.
Explain the purpose and scope of the data collection to respondents before the start of surveying
successfully and faithfully perform the survey in the assigned locations, collect and retain the survey results and survey sheets.
Completion data collection according to the tools and deadlines provided in the work plan
Ensure accuracy of the data and reporting any problems encountered during data collection to program staff immediately.
Coordination with related technical staff in development/ amendment of assessment tools
including questionnaire, collected data and etc.
Coordination in data entry of collected data
Participates in weekly meetings and daily planning meetings.
Assist community mobilizer in Conducting the Post Distribution Monitoring (PDM) of each intervention.
Preparing weekly, and monthly plans and reports.
Holding detailed beneficiary lists, including secondary data and other documents about them.
Develop and maintain an organized filing system.
Travel to the targeted districts Cheghcheran, Dulaina, Dowlatyar, Char sada, Lal wa sarjangal, and Murghab districts of Ghor province Closely coordinate with project assessor and M&E staff for producing the distribution list.
Any other duty assigned by the project manager and team leader
 
Job Requirements:
Two years of experience in the field of humanitarian.
Good capacity building and management skills, including communications and intercultural cooperation skills
Having 6 months to 1 year in data collection experience, especially within an NGO, UN agencies or similar organization
Must have English and Computer and KOBO skills
Must respect customs, culture and tradition of communities
Good Interpersonal and communication skills and team player
Ability in data collection and performing surveying.
Honest, proactive and well mannered
Must have knowledge of key humanitarian principals and work with the communities
Good Dari and Pashto language written and oral communication skills are required.
Flexible and capable of working in a stressful context.
