Job description

Job Description:
Prepares logistics and support plans, deployment timelines and budget requirements. Develops logistical, contingency and implements methodologies and tools to enable effective execution of logistic plans;
Formulates specific Standard Operating Procedures including policies for field logistic support;
Provides effective and timely planning, oversight, management and coordination of logistics support operations, including integration and monitoring of the implementation of logistics support plans at all field offices. Ensures effective and timely provision and coordination of diverse logistics support requirements;
Manages logistics operations including management of logistics assets, materiel, contracts and personnel. Ensures timely, accountable and cost-effective delivery of cargoes;
Ensures that supervised staff are adequately trained, cross-trained; identifies additional training needs to achieve high working standards;
Coordinates and provides logistics support to ongoing air, land, sea, or rail operations in the field;
Ensures that logistics requirements take account of gender-specific needs;
Coordinates logistics activities with procurement, finance, human resources, policy and other substantive units;
Develops plans, procedures and reports on materiel assessment and movements and other operational logistics issues, including planning and costing of operational budgets;
Plans and coordinates logistics support to new, sustaining, expanding, contracting and liquidating field operations;
Identifies plans and manages special logistics operations,
Ensures that accurate and complete accounting, reporting and internal control systems are functioning and that all relevant records are maintained;
Performs other related duties as required;
 
Job Requirements:
Graduate from university, a degree in business administration/ economics.
At least 4 years’ working experience in logistic and supply chain management
Preference will be given to candidates who worked with INGOs and has recent Logistics and supply chain management experience.
Strong communication and negotiation skills (oral & written) in English
Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets and legal documents.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from requisitioners, or any other related sections.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistical/ supply chain software.
Ability to effectively present information to top management.
Preference will be given to candidates who has better supervisory and management experience in the logistic and supply chain management.
