Job Description:
Act according to the policy of ORCD;
To identify indicators in order to monitor HEALTH PROMOTION activities, results, achievement and use the concrete tools to measure and follow up those activities.
To organize, train, and supervise the team of Health Promoters /Nutrition and PSS Counsellors / Community Health Workers in terms of:
Support, evaluation and coaching of personnel;
Visiting regularly communities that are under his/her responsibility;
Support in elaboration/improvement of materials and identification of strategies for delivering the focused information to the community.
Reporting (collecting reports of each health worker and report his/her activities)
To support, supervise, and give consistency to the health promotion and education portfolio approach in the different projects, while considering the different target population and cultural context, specific of each context.
To Create a pool of trained professional health promoters, able to deal with specific fields. Some examples:
Reduce the default rate in TFP (Therapeutic feeding program), ANC, PNC, EPI.
Contribute to properly forge the medical expectations of the target population, in a way of positively affecting their Health seeking behavior.
Concur to improve medical doctor/patient relationship
Flexibility and availability in case of emergency response.
To collect and report to the Provincial Coordinator, on a monthly basis, the activities conducted by the different Mobile teams, at different project level, while highlighting achievements, current constraints and future plans.
To supervise and guide the Nutrition and PSS Counsellors in the identification of local key actors (local authorities, local NGOs, traditional healers, formal or informal authorities) to support the dissemination of health information of the target population, and be the point of reference for the relation and networking with these subjects.
Keep confidential with issue related to ORCD.
Any task given by the Provincial Coordinator.
Job Requirements:
Be Afghan.
Graduated from recognized Medical Faculty/ social Science Faculty.
At least three-years’ experience in Project Management.
A team player with ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to maintain professionalism in services delivery and ethics.
Experience in case management including management of case conferences.
Fluency in spoken and written Pashtu, Dari and English is a requirement.
Able to go to the field.
