Job Description:

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

 

The objective of the guard position will be to provide access control for offices in Afghanistan. 

 

Major Activities / Responsibilities:

 

Reporting:

Reports to the Guard Supervisor

 

Main Duties:

Provide general security for the personnel and staff at the office. This includes:

Access control

Search Techniques

Sign-in – booking in for visitors and staff

Monitoring CCTV

Reporting defects in security equipment

Immediate actions on security-related incidents

Incident reporting including with the authorities

Patrolling the grounds (where applicable)

Any other duty assigned within a security context

 

Job Requirements:

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

Secondary School Certificate of Education (Preferable).

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

Preferably 1-2 years experience as a security guard

Live and/or work within the town or district the office is situated

 

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Ability to understand and be trained

Basic ability to do log entry / written work / sign-in personnel

 

PREFERABLE EXPERIENCE:

Those candidates working and living in the office area or town

Those candidates who have familiarity and have worked with the neighborhood and people

 

CHARACTER COMPETENCIES:          

Eligible candidates must have excellent ethical conduct,  honesty and no criminal record. Be medically fit, and have  good inter-personal communication skills.
