Scope of work:

Support the most vulnerable children and their families through provision of integrated, age-appropriate and gender-transformative child protection interventions in Nangarhar province through provision of multi-sector services such as knowledge capacity of community members and leaders, strengthening community-based structures and mechanisms through conducting training on GBV, PSEA, MHPSS/PFA and other required messages. Girls and boys and their families affect by emergency, armed conflict are benefiting from lifesaving interventions, based on the CCCs and emergency, peace and development of nexus. It will aim to sustain and strengthen the child protection system including the capacity of the social workforce and other specialized child protection service providers. (Beneficiaries: Child protection service providers).

 

The Administration Officer ensures the proper working and prioritizing of a number of junior service staff. S/he will guide and oversee their work on a daily basis. The position requires a resourceful and all-round skilled person and the Administration Officer will also by him/herself carry out a number of assigned duties.

The Administration Officer reports to the Project Manager in Nangarhar Provincial Office.

 
Job Requirements:
To be fully responsible for the work of the service section under his/her responsibility
To check the daily performance of the cook, office cleaners and tea-person.
To purchase food staff (rice, cooking oil, beans, etc…) on by-weekly or monthly basis.
To supervise the cooking and distribution of food for staff.
To make sure that healthy food and tea is prepared for the staff and on time.
To calculate the monthly expenses of meal for the related office at the by-weekly or at end of the month and forward it to the Regional Manager for approval and then clear with the finance section of the Regional Office.
To train on the job training and to suggest specific training needs of his/her subordinates according to their related work and for their developments.
To take care of accommodation arrangements for the visiting guests/staff.
To assist the Regional Manager in preparation of memos, letters, etc… and the proper filing and record keeping of contracts, agreements and correspondence.
To report to the Regional Manager and demand any repair or spare parts required by service staff
 

Financial Tasks

To clear the food expenses of the staff and purchasing of the daily use material bills properly and on timely basis with finance unit/cashier.
To clear the paid monthly utilities bills of the CDRO premises of the concerned location with the cashier of the office on time.
To make payment of CDRO related rented premises their rent on time, and keep the lease agreements in proper filling system.
To take into consideration the CDRO’s Financial Rules and Regulations while making purchases.
 

Other Tasks

To actively contribute to the successful development and good reputation of the CDRO
To do any other duties assigned by the Regional Manager.
To give the recommendation to the Regional Manager on identification, recruitment, dismissals, disciplinary action, promotion, demotion and transfer of personnel among his/her subordinates

To cooperate and liaise with external stakeholders and authorities as needed or assigned.
Other skills:                 

Computer skill at operator level, especially with MS Office packages.
Fluency in English and Dari and/or Pashto, both written and spoken
Interpersonal and communication skills
Team worker, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
Experience of planning, reporting and budgeting
Ability and willingness to travel to the project sites within Eastern Region and adjust to CDRO environment.
Honest, proactive and well mannered.
