RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS DESCRIPTION
Context monitoring and analysis:
Responsibility 1-1:
1- Collects, analyses, and disseminates information on humanitarian access and operational safety to the teams, in order to anticipate and prevent possible risks to the implementation of HI humanitarian assistance.
2- Organises a network of various contacts throughout the areas of intervention of HI to collect and verify information on trends affecting access and operational safety.
3- Monitor safety-relevant events on a daily basis and report to the Manager.
4- Collects, and analyses information related to the context, access, and key actors.
5- Disseminates this information in an appropriate manner to assigned audiences.
6- Participates and represents HI in meetings and other formal or informal settings organized on the subject of operational safety and humanitarian access.
7- Maintains a database and mapping of events affecting operational safety and humanitarian access in the country.
8- In support of the HASM, monitors external relevant incidents and participates in analyses.
9- In support of the HASM, produces analyses and recommendations on relevant incidents.
10- Support HASM in his tasks including writing reports and Analysis.
11- Update databases and record incidents according to reporting formats.
Responsibility 1-2:
1- Builds staff capacity in humanitarian access management and risk mitigation.
2- Regularly informs staff of safety-relevant developments (including their potential impact on HI) by ensuring dissemination of incident details and broader trends through HI staff information channels.
3- Identifies, with the appropriate managers, HI activities at risk, produces joint analyses to reduce these risks to an acceptable level, and ensures that operational changes are well understood by the teams.
4- Ensures safety briefings for the integration of new employees and consultants.
Responsibility 1-3:
1- Help sustain the resilience of the program staff.
2- Inform the program teams on context updates as per supervision or need.
3- Inform program staff on HAS rules, procedures, and guidelines of HI.
4- Listen to staff concerns and share with HASM and advise accordingly.
5- Perform any other task assigned within the professional limits of the work.
6- The incumbent must be aware of the contemporary work sensitivities for women and share relevant updates and related advisories with female staff regularly as well as actively monitoring it.

Knowledge required
Essential
High School and bachelor’s degree in the relevant field will be preferred
Minimum 2 years in the humanitarian field with at least 2 years of experience as security and safety officer for an NGO
Strong experience in context analysis and networking
Skills required

Ability to work under pressure with a high level of personal organization and flexibility
High level of autonomy
Time management and ability to meet concurrent deadlines
Strong command of Microsoft Office Package
Good skills in mapping using mapping software/technology
Good communication and reporting skills

Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills
Proactive, hardworking, and discreet
Fluency in English and local languages
