Job description

Job Summary
Ensure general functioning of the pharmacy and supervise pharmacy supply chain processes in accordance with MSF’s standards, in order to ensure its efficiency and operating availability. Manage the pharmacies at 8 Community Health Facilities (CHF) located in remote areas of Bamyan Province. 

Please note that this position will involve regular travel to remote areas of Bamyan Province.




Duties & Responsibilities
- Define and implement storage, stock management, supply, hygiene and security processes

- Coordinate the delivery, reception and recording of international and local orders, in order to ensure adequate stock levels and ensure efficient management of stock, both in Bamyan town and in the remote CHFs

- Supervise orders of medical and drug material in order to ensure an efficient and appropriate consumption pattern under budget constraints

- Supervise the supply of drugs and medical equipment to CHFs

- Report on drug consumptions and medical equipment dispensed according to protocols, informing on unusual patterns as well as forecasting future needs

- Assist in training of nurses, midwives and vaccinators at CHFs regarding dispensing of drugs and their side effects

- Undertake and/or coordinate administrative, information and data collection tasks, including detailed regular reporting.


Job Requirements
Essential

- Pharmacy degree

- English language skills, both oral and written

- Dari language skills, both oral and written

- Proficient skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

- Experience in a similar position

- Willingness to work in remote areas

Desirable

- Experience in an NGO

- Pashtu language skills, both oral and written 

 

WORKING HOURS AND SALARY

WORKING HOURS: 40 HOURS/WEEK

GROSS SALARY: ACCORDING TO MSF SALARY GRID
