Core Responsibilities
Collecting routine and ad hoc MEL data from the grantees in all project interventions and ensuring data collection processes and protocols follow terms of grant agreements under LHSS;
Conducting data quality assessments and spot checks and data aggregation at the national level;
Updating Performance Indicator Tracking Tables (baselines, targets, actual), and MandE2.0
Support Senior Specialist in -
Producing quarterly dashboards and narrative reports
Holding data-to-decision-making sessions with the project team and the grantees;
Updating MEL Plans annually and developing data collection tools and protocols
Other duties as required.
What We Value
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree + 2 years of relevant experience, or Master’s Degree + 0 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in international health, medicine, epidemiology, infectious disease, M&E, public health, or related field
Minimum 3 years’ prior professional experience with focus in public health MEL issues, preferably on USAID funded health projects;
Experience of conducting rigorous monitoring, evaluation and research in family planning, maternal, child, adolescent and newborn health, nutrition, tuberculosis and non-communicable diseases;
Experience with Statistical analysis packages, qualitative analysis packages, and data visualization tools;
Strong communication skills and impeccable attention to detail are required, and ability to work collaboratively within diverse teams is required
Fluent English writing and speaking skills required; strong Dari and Pashto speaking and writing skills are an advantage;
