The Alternative Livelihoods and Food Security Social Worker will work under the supervision of the Technical Assistant for Alternative Livelihoods and Food Security. The purpose of this position is to cooperate in the implementation and monitoring of the project works by the NRC institution at the community level, to assist the NRC alternative livelihood and food security staff in trainings, in the community Analyze and resolve project-related problems and regularly monitor and supervise the project
 Duties and Responsibilities for the Post

Briefly describe the role of the Alternative Livelihood and Food Security Social Worker

Collection and preparation of general information of beneficiaries and community.

Taking an active role in the evaluation and selection of beneficiaries -

To inform the selected beneficiaries and cooperate in gathering at a particular place -

To fully cooperate with alternative livelihood and food security agencies in agricultural activities and implementation -

Collaborating with Alternative Livelihood Assistants in trainings on agricultural activities in the field -

Registration of displacement (movement) of internally displaced persons at social level -

Informing the beneficiaries about the project policy and implementation, taking an active role in the preparation of the materials and the formation of the groups and giving information and understanding about its importance.

Generating weekly reports regularly -

Providing good relations between the beneficiaries and the community -

Daily monitoring during the project as per the given plan -

Provide field visitation for employees -

Timely informing about changes, problems and other topics in the field -

Reporting to the office in case of improper use of animal feed, agricultural and professional kits in the alternative livelihood and food security project or in case of corruption.

Facilitating the distribution of alternative livelihood and food security kits (kits) and ensuring that they reach the beneficiaries -

The social worker is responsible for the project work and its timely completion in his specific area -

Assisting and supporting other NRC programs in specific villages -

With the help of other workers, resolving specific disputes between beneficiaries of water and sanitation projects in the community -

Conducting trainings when necessary

Participation in trainings on alternative livelihoods and food security -

 Conducting health trainings at various stages of the project -

Any other job related to the position assigned by the order

 

 
Job Requirements:


Content is the combination of knowledge, skills and experience that is important for good and efficient performance

General qualification for this post

Agricultural or technical education -

Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture or above -

At least two years experience in projects with an international or domestic organization Livelihood and Food Security -

Ability to work in difficult and difficult areas -

Experience in agriculture, livestock and irrigation is preferred -

Knowledge and leadership background. -

Fluent in local languages ​​(Pashto, Dari)

Little knowledge of English and Computers -

Possess relevant field knowledge, skills and experience
