CHILD SAFEGUARDING:
Level 3: the post holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs; or are visiting the country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.
Responsibilities and particular assignments:
Responsibilities:
·Implementing and following at all times the universal hygiene standards, security rules, and other protocols and procedures regarding nursing and children’s nutrition matters
·Responsible for the overall case management of Complicated SAM cases inpatient department
·Admission of eligible children in inpatient treatment of server acute malnutrition
·Daily follow-up of children in weight gain and complications in inpatient
·Preparing the F-100 and F-75 milk and feeding the children regularly
·Transferring children from the stabilization phase to transitional and rehabilitation phases according to criteria and health conditions
·Provides direct nursing care to patients including dressing, catheterization, vital signs, and medications in the therapeutic food unit.
·Ensure comprehensive health checks and treatment according to the protocols for nutrition cases detected;
·Implementation of alternative therapeutic milk when shortages and stock out happens
·Assessment of children’s anthropometry on a regular basis
·Filling the TSS MSS treatment sheets while feeding and checking the health condition of malnourished children
·Work closely with the medical doctors and pediatrics in the planning and organizing of TFU OPD SAM/SFP services hospital
·In coordination with the Pediatrics, medical doctor, and Provincial office ensure adequate availability of all food supplies in the health facility
·Preparing the monthly report of IPD
·Updating the internal stock cards
·Report on progress and any problems in a timely manner
Any other duties that may be assigned by line supervisors.
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY: The duties and responsibilities set out above are not exhaustive and the post holder may be required to carry out additional duties from time to time that is reasonable in relation to their level of skills and experience.
In the event of a significant humanitarian emergency, the post-holder will be expected to work outside their normal job description; vary their working hours; and occasionally work from a different location should the need arise.
The post holder is required to carry out their duties in accordance with SCI Health and Safety policies and procedures and our Global Security policy and procedures.

Job Requirements:
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Essential:
·Nursing diploma from a recognized institute
·IMAM training is desirable
·I year of experience in TFU
Desirable:
·Strong interpersonal and team skills, with the ability to work in a multicultural environment.
·Ability to work alongside others under stressful conditions in conflict-prone situations
·Effective self-organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
·Good administrative abilities, Good communication and counseling skills, proven knowledge of national languages, honest and kind personality;
