The Forest Landscape Restoration (FLR) project aims at restoring forests and at increasing resilience in communities in six provinces of Afghanistan. Participatory landscape management plans are developed at village level. By establishing and working with local, regional and national NRM structures for participatory and conflict-resolving land use planning and the restoration of forest landscapes, conflicts at the local level are be reduced and a multi-stakeholder dialogue initiated. Sector-specific training products are developed in order to enable various actors in the forest sector and in the management of natural resources to implement forest-related landscape systems as independently and sustainably in the future.
