Job Description:
The Health Educator will primarily be responsible for the health education of communities and patients in the catchment areas. They will also be responsible for high impact intervention HII protocols.
SEPECIFIC DUTIES:
Conduct regular community level health education and campaigns at common gathering places such as community, cultural gatherings and house-to-house;
Assist in Health Facility-based health education of patients, co-patients and community;
Assist in planning the HFs, and mobile health schedule as per work plan;
Use appropriate HII materials for education of communities;
Assist with triage, crowd control and registration of cases of HII;
Assist with patient screening t;
Ensure correct supplementary food rations are given to patients as per HII protocols;
Follow up defaulters of nutrition programmes and provide appropriate health education to them;
Assist Nurses and other team leaders to conduct outreach activities;
Provide reports of health education conducted as per reporting format;
Work closely with HII supervisor and HFs staff to identify seasonal disease trends which are appropriate for addressing during health education;
Any other duties as directed by Team leaders or Supervisor
Job Requirements:
Nurse, Midwife , 12 grade standard, with 1 years experience in health education
Fluent in Dari or Pashtu
Previous experience of working in health programmes
Ability and willingness to travel to rural locations in Kunduz provinces
Excellent communication skills
Good team player, flexible and capable of working with a diverse project team
