RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
Main Roles & Responsibilities:
Support the Program Manager (PM) with the assessment of HR, logistics and financial needs at different stages of the activities.
Participate with the PM in the regular review of the program work plans, financial forecasts vs spending, and achievements towards set objectives, and take part in developing proposal with the technical/ managerial inputs as needed.
Conduct regular site visits and implement follow-up/assessment tools to ensure the good implementation of the activities and its impact on beneficiaries.
Identify and anticipate any risks and constraints related to the ongoing activities and propose adjustments accordingly.
Ensure the safety of persons and equipment at intervention/project sites is guaranteed in collaboration with related stakeholders.
Regularly monitor, review and update the implementation plan of the current in process activities (mainly);
Construction of water points
Rehabilitation of existing water points
Construction and rehabilitation of Latrines
Construction and rehabilitation of open sewers
Water quality mapping
Focus group discussions
Base line and End line surveys, KAP survey
Hygiene promotion sessions and community engagement
Distribution of hygiene kits
And other related tasks
In coordination with the PM, design the BOQ and Scope of works
In coordination with the PM, validate the design and implementation plan with the community
Partake in the creation and trainings of the community water management committees.
Supervise, validate and handover the construction works from the contractor to the officer and the communities.
Ensure the quality of the delivered items matching with the required specifications.
Together with the PM design the hygiene promotion messages according to the KAP and the FGDS
In coordination with the PM design the hygiene promotion materials and tools.
Ensure No-Harm (Social, environmental, etc..) is associated from the intervention.
Team Management
Day-to-day management and supervision of WatSan officers and HP officers and quality implementation.
Ensure that performance reviews are carried out according to defined procedure, and monitor the professional development of staff.
Participate in the recruitment of WatSan officers
Identify any training need and conduct relevant technical trainings in accordance with operational requirements.
Ensure the link with the community engagement and WatSan teams and the transmission of relevant information at all stages of the program
Reporting/Communication
Ensure timely submission of high-quality reports; internally (weekly, quarterly/ interim and final reports, as needed) to the PM, and externally (as needed) with proper supporting documentation.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships and communications with different stakeholders.
Ensure the proper archiving of data related to project implementation by the team.
Represent SI in meetings that concern the projects
Job Requirements:
Having at least 10 years of experience of field experience in food security and livelihood, especially in agriculture and livestock project. Experience in cash, voucher or in-kind distribution is also desirable. Experience in training of trainers (ToT).
Strong knowledge in project cycle, including planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting
Strong experience in agriculture and livestock projects, training in related subject, needs assessment, etc.
Strong capacity of analysis, reporting and adaptation
Capacity of representation, negotiation, technical assessment, developing methodologies, etc.
Excellent reporting skills
Strong leadership skills and autonomy
Strong organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills in Dari, Pashto and English
Able to adjust her/his self with different environment
Ability to work under pressure
