Job Description:

Main purpose of job: Implements and supports the performance improvement approach and strategy for the project within a province. Working within cross-functional teams responds to performance metrics and performance incidents with improvement strategies and activities. The Quality Improvement Officer will be a member of a Technical Support Team with prime responsibility for improving the quality and performance of service providers in the target health centers and Health Posts.

 

For RMNCH and community-based healthcare 1. One Ob/Gyn Specialist (female position)  Medical university degree and specialty in Obstetrics and Gynecology  Master’s degree in Public Health or relevant area is preferred.  Five years’ experience in designing, implementing and evaluating thematic programs at the provincial hospital, BPHS health facility, and community levels.  Previous training or mentoring is a plus. 2. One Midwife (female position)  Graduate from a registered Midwifery Education Institution with a bachelor’s degree  Master’s degree in Public Health or relevant area is preferred.  Five years’ experience in designing, implementing and evaluating thematic programs at the provincial hospital, BPHS health facility, and community levels.  Previous experience in community-based health care is a plus. 3. One male Medical Doctor position for Child Health & EPI Program, Nutrition, TB  Medical degree from a recognized university  Master’s degree in Public Health or relevant area and specializes in pediatrics or nutrition is preferred.  Five years’ experience in designing, implementing and evaluating thematic programs at the provincial hospital, BPHS health facility, and community levels.  Previous experience in community-based health care is a plus. 4. One male pharmacist position for pharmaceuticals and supply chain management, community based and other cross cuttings areas  University degree in pharmacy  4 years of experience in BPHS, EPHS or any other related field  Previous experience in community-based health care is a plus.

 

Competencies:

 Excellent written and oral communication skills in local languages and English.  Excellent interpersonal skills: demonstrated ability to interact professionally with culturally diverse staff. Mentoring experience is a plus and is mandatory for RMNH&FP.  Experience in training and supervision of BPHS components
