Major Duties and Responsibilities:
The basic role of this position is effective project planning, coordination, and implementation of Sustaining Essential Services Delivery Project. The post holder will ensure that project activity are well understood and accepted by the target communities and local authorities that developed through proper community mobilization and also ensures that the neediest and eligible beneficiaries are selected based on the project criteria.
Reporting directly to provincial Coordinator, Head of Regional Office and Head of Humanitarian Programs.
Direct program implementation:
Collaborating with project coordinator to design community mobilization strategy.
Supporting conducting project-relevant data collection in the project coverage area.
Working with other project staff to select project implementation sites and project beneficiaries.
Socialization and verification of project beneficiaries based on the project selection criteria.
Providing on-time support and information sharing with project beneficiaries in any event or time of package distribution.
Review of project documents and preparing project field plans and coordination with relevant actors
Day to day project management and reporting of any barriers to the NAC management to seek solution
Staff capacity building and support where required
Support to field staff on beneficiary profile survey and distribution of inputs
Coordination with relevant actors for access, project objectives and reporting on achievements
Making sure that all the project related IEC materials received and distributed/disseminated to the project beneficiaries
Getting on time security advices and providing field level analysis to the management
Making sure that the warehouses are well managed and materials are safely distributed to the project beneficiaries considering all the humanitarian principals in a dignifying manner
Making sure that staff are well aware of selection criteria and using of KOBO toolbox
Provide support to M&E Officer and provincial coordinator for proper documentation of distributed items and other activities.
Conducting post distribution monitoring visits to project implementation sites.
Supervision:
supporting staff to meet the project objectives, outputs, and activities.
Facilitate project and activities information at all events prepare and implement the project action plan for quality monitoring.
Facilitate project and activity information at all events such as training and workshops.
Reports and coordination:
Coordination and collaboration with local government officials.
Coordination of the NACs activities under the agriculture project and building effective coordination and cooperation among all stakeholders.
Data collection and writing of periodic weekly reports, Success stories, and other projects related data information.
Job Requirements:
Languages Required:
Local languages with fluent English
Qualifications Required:
Master/ bachelor of agriculture is preferred
Having Project management skills
Preferred working experience in implementing agriculture projects
Preferred those with background of emergency programming and assessment
Experience Required:
At least two to three years of working experience (with one year of relevant experience)
Skills Required:
Working in emergency teams
Being part of assessment team
Good skill of coordination and cooperation with government departments
Should have understanding of local norms and culture
