Job Summary

 

Under the Direct Supervision of Project Coordinator, the Incumbent will perform the following Duties and Responsibilities in the Poshtozarqon ,Obeh ,Shendan and other district of herat province:

Duties & Responsibilities

 

Will understand and try to achieve the monthly and yearly coverage and EPI indicators
Will have an update list of the EPI and MCH dropouts to follow them in outreach sessions
Will store, handle and maintain vaccines per Afghan N-EPI/UNICEF/WHO protocols
Will dispose of contaminated waste in a responsible manner to prevent exposure
Will provide fixed and outreach EPI activities
Will maintain a high level of cold chain management all the time
Will respond immediately to any cold chain irregularity using local possibility including sending Vaccines to other closest health facility with cold chain system 
Will report immediately any irregularity of cold chain to supervisor
Will provide appropriate patient education to prevent dropout and increase coverage
Will provide health education for her/his client to fix center and outreach sessions
Will identify and report problems that interfere in the delivery of services
Will provide complete accurate clear and on time monthly activity report
 
Job Requirements:
Education:

Nursing diploma
Experience:

Minimum 1-2 years’ work experience, particularly in vaccination
Strong Command on Pashto/Dari
Working experience in the targeted provinces and familiar with concerned community, geography and culture.
