Job Description:
Mobilize and sensitize communities on program activities and introduce the project to district and community level.
Organize first contact with district and villages authorities.
Conducting a detailed assessment of the communities using the KOBO software.
Identify vulnerable families eligible for assistance according to established selection criteria to be supported by the project.
Ensure people inclusion to program especially poor and excluded women and men disables and children.
Facilitate interest and self-help groups in communities with a focus on poor men and women and marginalized and excluded groups
Facilitate and support the cash distributions in the community level.
Establish working relationship with all stakeholders at the district and community level for smooth implementation of the project.
Organize necessary orientation for Shura members and beneficiaries on the project activities and their roles.
Maintain filing system for all beneficiaries and project related documents in the field and office as required.
Raise awareness of communities regarding the project activities
Encourage community members to mobilize for action aimed at resolving their problems and to plan, execute and oversee action that they define themselves;
Build trust, tolerance, and co-operation among community members;
Encourage full participation by all community members; with particular attention to those who are usually forgotten, sidelined, and overlooked in community decision-making;
Assist joint monitoring visits with the government officials (Provincial/district relevant authorities) to the project sites.
Provide required support and information to provincial management staff to ensure high quality of services delivery.
Provide situation analysis and progress report to the Project officers whenever required or based on the needs of the project. This may also include security updates and changes occurred in the target community.
Develop project weekly, monthly and quarterly narrative reports and submit them to Project Provincial Officer timely.
Any other official tasks given by line manager and other Snr staff.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
12 grade graduates at minimum, bachelor degree is desirable
12 grade graduate with 4 years’ experience. Bachelor degree holder with 3 years’ experience and Master degree holder with 1-year experience relevant experience
Experience in the relevant or similar position in humanitarian projects is required.
Skills:
Good knowledge and experience in usage of KOBO and Office Packages)
Strong oral and written communication skill in local language Pashto and Dari, skills in English will also be an asset.
Knowledge of the community structure, dynamics and development.
At least two years of experience in community mobilization, particularly for assessment / survey, distribution and community participation, conflict resolution and resource mobilization.
Ability to cope well under pressure, work irregular hours and meet tight deadlines
Sound organizational skills and ability to prioritize and deliver assignments in a timely manner often under severe time pressures
Experience in needs assessment, distribution, project monitoring and evaluation, and program development
Experience in coordination with government authorities, communities, and beneficiaries
Strong communication, people management and interpersonal skills in local language,
Willingness to work and travel in often difficult and insecure environments;
Computer literacy, particularly in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
Strong representational and communication skills;

Fluent oral and written skills in Local Language Pashto and Dari, fluent in English is plus point
