Summary of Key Functions
The incumbent position will be responsible for: accurately assess the humanitarian situation, with emphasis on the different needs of men, women, boys and girls, during the first phase of a humanitarian emergency to inform CARE’s rapid response and the resource and programming implications thereof. Take part in the distribution process of cash, food and nonfood items as well as post distribution monitoring and conduct field visits whenever needed. Data gathering analyzing and reporting based on the findings of the surveys conducted, managing proper filing system of all related documents.
Key relations
Field Supervisor, Provincial manager and Project Manager.
Key Results Expected:
Capable to conduct and all types of surveys in different geographic conditions and areas
Having special focus on women and girls’ needs while conducting surveys
Develop and implement survey plans
Analyze field survey data and provide accurate analysis reports to the project management.
Conduct and coordinate the distribution process of cash, food, nonfood items and agriculture input to the targeted beneficiaries with consideration of all transparency and control mechanism.
prioritize the needs of the disaster affected population within the target areas
Conduct post distribution assessment with support and coordination of MEL unit and report the findings and lesson learnt
Ensuring timely and accurate reporting
Doing field visits when required and prepare visit reports
Developing and designing survey forms with support of MEL unit based on need and nature of intervention.
Maintaining good relations with other authorities and humanitarian actors
Make sure proper documentation, hard and soft filing system of all project related documents
Fulfill any other task assigned by supervisor.
Job Requirements:
Competence:
The employ should have willingness to work in emergency situations under difficult life conditions.
The employ should have commitment for work, to address the basic need of marginalized peoples
Core Competencies:
Having experience in the field of emergency, self confidence in any situation, good communication with other actors.
Skills and Experience:
General management, conflict sensitivity analysis, project implementation, assessment and survey, report writing, good spoken and written skills of local languages. Computer skills Ms Office package, have the skills to coordinate a multi-disciplinary team.
Education:
University graduated (BSC degree)
Work Experience:
At least two years’ experience in emergency response programs and related field preferably in National and international organization
Languages Skills: Dari and Pashto English is plus.
