Job Summary
The M&E/Reporting officer will monitor the implementation of all the emergency projects, in collaboration with Regional Manager and M&E manager at Kabul. The role will be based in ACHRO target provinces with extensive travel to project sites to initiate and verify data collection. S/he will be responsible for documenting the progress in accordance with the project's M&E Framework. The Officer will also be responsible for providing technical support to the project staff in qualitative and quantitative data collection and recording achievements against pre-defined performance indicators
Duties and Responsibilities
Establish and maintain a database of information coming from the project sites and from various monitoring visits in a form that can be readily accessed for reports and monitoring purposes
Visit each of the project sites on a regular basis, at least once per month, to monitor progress against reports, to assess outcomes of the work and to collect stories and case studies suitable for learning and promotional purposes
Undertake regular interviews with the target populations, men and women and boys and girls, with the consideration of disability and age, individuals participating in the project to assess their level of satisfaction and to record and pass on their ideas for improvements to the project activities
Assist Project Manager to prepare for and conduct regular project reviews, contributing to the content and facilitation of the process.
Support the Project focal points at district level to conduct community-based surveys and social audits and to guide community-based studies used to inform project strategies and knowledge generation
Prepare monthly monitoring reports, summarizing information coming from the project Manager, and provide additional qualitative information to complement the number and also Prepare Monthly Progress reports.
Collect, collate, analyse, and present information on project outputs and outcomes for use in project management and reporting.
Prepare quality progress reports, case studies and stories of change, in line with project requirements and ACHRO M&E policy
Job Requirements:
A university degree in social sciences or related field.
Good understanding of all phases of the project management cycle, particularly project monitoring and evaluation systems.
Experience in writing case studies, stories of change and other promotional material.
Working knowledge of both spoken and written English.
Good communication and interpersonal skills and able to work with others in a non-hierarchical structure.
Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Good analytical and report writing skills and proficient in the use of standard computer software such as MS Word, Excel and internet communication plus systems pertaining to data analysis
